ABOUT THE MMRA

Meeting Minutes           MMRA Constitution

The Misawa Military Retirees Association is a social group established to help meet the needs of military retirees, dependents and survivors located in the Tohoku and Hokkaido regions of Japan. The association is registered with the IRS and is a tax exempt organization. Donations made to the association may be included on your tax return under charitable donations. Membership is open to retirees, dependents and survivors of all branches of the military residing in the area. <

To date, we have been able to provide several thousand dollars to survivors in need of assistance. The funds were made available through membership dues, donations and funds raising activities. We hope to do even more in the future; however, we need the support of all retirees to make this a truly successful endeavor. This is something that was sorely needed, but we have never had here. <

We have approximately four hundred fifty retirees, dependents, and survivors in the Tohoku and Hokkaido regions. Several of the survivors are subsisting on six hundred dollars or less per month and our assistance is definitely needed. <

Membership in the association costs only twenty dollars per year. We meet the first Tuesday of every other month (even months), at 1700 hours, in the Tohoku Club. If you are interested in becoming a member, or just want to see what we are about, please attend at least one of our meetings. <

You may also contact Director Joe Roginski in the RAO at 226-5675 if you are unable to attend a meeting but would still like to join us or make a donation. <

We need your support!
